How do you create a digital experience for a luxury venue that’s as unique as the place itself? build a digital space that captures the essence of their luxurious and authentic New Zealand escape.

THE CHALLENGE

The challenge was clear: showcase the Hillbrook Experience while creating a user journey that’s on-brand and memorable. We needed to tell the story of this unique property—its expansive grounds, bespoke accommodations, and a long list of incredible services and activities—while staying true to their commitment to ecosystem restoration. Communicating the intricate booking options, such as the need to book the main house to access additional accommodations like the stables, required thoughtful design. They had a vast collection of stunning images, but curating them to fit the narrative wasn’t enough. We also needed to ensure that the user journey felt seamless and intuitive, guiding visitors through the Hillbrook experience in a way that was both engaging and informative.

THE STRATEGY

To bring the Hillbrook Experience to life online, we didn’t just rely on guesswork. We got boots on the ground. Our team toured the estate, soaking in its character and digging deep into the vision behind it. We then conducted an in-depth discovery session to align our approach with Hillbrook’s goals and the needs of their target audience. Our strategy? Visual storytelling. We wanted the site to be more than just another luxury website. It needed to be an immersive experience that feels like flipping through a storybook, drawing visitors in with every click. A New Zealand experience you’ll never forget. We made sure the site brought that message front and centre, showcasing everything from the private beach to the expansive grounds where nature takes the spotlight.

THE solution

We built a luxury editorial-style website that does more than just display beautiful pictures—it tells a story. Big, bold hero sections paired with emotive copy draw you in from the moment you land on the site. We chose Webflow as our platform of choice because it gives us the flexibility to push boundaries and create something truly unique. Our team incorporated interactive maps and seamless booking integration to keep the user engaged while making it easy to plan the perfect stay. We didn’t stop there. Subtle micro-interactions and animations were woven throughout the design to make the site as dynamic as the estate itself. And with a CMS tailored specifically for the Hillbrook team, they now have the power to grow their site with ease, keeping the story of Hillbrook fresh and engaging.
